If it is your first facial with me, it's safe to select the Epicuren Signature Facial. Everything I do in a facial is customized to your skin care needs. The Epicuren Signature Facial treatment allows me time to learn and understand where your skin care concerns lie, answer questions, do a thorough skin care analysis, and ease your skin into the skin care line I use in my treatment room.

I have worked with a professional skin care line from California called Epicuren Discovery for over ten years. I am overwhelmed myself with the amount of beauty products and skin care advertising that is marketed towards us. I like to build my philosophy around skin care with my clients at your pace. I love that Epicuren is a natural skin care line that is always creating and developing effective products with their unique Metadermabolic Enzyme. This signature enzyme used in many of their products provides necessary bio-available nutrients to support positive skin health and stimulates constructive cell regeneration.

DermaPlaning is a treatment performed by a Licensed Advance Practice Esthetician. This treatment includes a method of mechanical exfoliation that uses a series of strokes while moving a specialized surgical DermaPlane blade back and forth across the skin. It’s a surprisingly relaxing treatment while also removing 2–3 weeks of build up and dead skin cells on the face. A bonus of this treatment is that it also removes vellus hair, known as peach fuzz from your skin. Your skin will appear smoother, softer, brighter and ready to absorb the active ingredients in your skin care routine.

I have used Nufree soft wax on my clients since I began my career as an esthetician/wax specialist. I was trained in waxing in 2002, and believe me, hair removal products have come a long way! Nufree also has it's own signature patented research formulated in it's product. I love Nufree because it works on ALMOST everyone from clients with extremely sensitive skin, to clients with extremely coarse hair growth. Nufree is a soy based hair removal product that is anti-bacterial / anti-microbial which assures a safe, clean and hygienic waxing environment.

A small percentage of my clients prefer hard wax on their skin. When using hard wax in my room, I prefer Cirepil Blue. I am always willing to find a hair removal process that works for you. Hair growth and hair removal is so unique and personal to everyone. If you would like to try hard wax, please contact me personally and I will book your service for you.

I personally prefer a longer growth for first time waxers, especially if you are shaving regularly. I love a good 10–14 day hair growth. Coming in with a shorter, coarse, stubble creates a more stubborn hair follicle and allows for a more uncomfortable waxing experience for the client. I do totally understand that for clients that shave every other day, or 2–3 days, waiting 10–14 days can feel REALLY HARD and leave you habitually reaching for your razor in the shower. If that is the case, 5–7 days growth is perfectly fine for achieving a good waxing service.

Never. Please do not worry about trimming at home prior to your wax. That is my job to worry about, not yours! Often times the growth seems much longer to the client than the esthetician. The application of Nufree allows for me to easily work with a more natural growth.

Waxing aftercare is integral to your waxing service. I treat every client post wax with Finipil, an anti-bacterial / anti-microbial aftercare lotion that prevents any bacteria from getting in the open follicle post wax. It's anti-inflammatory, cools and calms redness on the skin. During your wax treatment, we also discuss methods of home care, exfoliating, preventing and treating ingrown hairs.

I am not located in your typical salon or salon type suite environment so sometimes newcomers get confused in finding me along the street of local businesses!  I am tucked inside a lovely wellness type building called the Parkway Office Building. When you arrive, there is a lobby up front where you can sit, and I will come up and find you. There is also a comfy chair at the very end of the long hallway that is usually open. If my door is closed, I am with a client. I do my best to run on time and will always let you know ahead of time if I am running behind so you don't think I forgot about you!
